Atlanta Airport: Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport serves as an international gateway to the southern United States. This massive airport offers an abundance of facilities within the airport’s six terminals that cater to the millions of passengers it serves. Its six terminals are connected by an underground mall with an automated people mover, or shuttle train. The Atrium provides a vast seating area and food concessions. ATMs are located throughout the terminals in addition to a full service bank located in the Atrium. The Executive Conference Center, or ECC, is a state-of-the-art facility for travelers who need to access communications. It has 23 meeting rooms including pressrooms, boardrooms, computer workstations, and classrooms. Pay wireless Internet is available throughout the airport.
These services are in addition to the amenities one expects from a world-class airport: restaurants, clean restrooms, currency exchange services, televisions throughout its many waiting areas, and premium lounges for frequent fliers, making travel that much more comfortable for anybody taking a flight to Atlanta.
Atlanta airport is located just seven miles south of Atlanta’s central business district and is well connected to the city. Taxi and car rental agencies are readily available. The international airport also has its own station on the MARTA rapid transit system. There is a plethora of accommodation options in the area, from high-end to budget hotels.
It is the hub for Delta Airlines, AirTran Airways and Shuttle America.
