Boston Airport: Logan International Airport (BOS)
Logan International Airport (BOS), located within five miles of the heart of downtown, serves Boston and greater New England. A majority of US airlines fly to and from Logan airport on a daily basis, and the airport is also a major gateway for international flights arriving in the United States. The airport has a full complement of dining options, services and retail establishments located throughout the various terminals.
A unique way to get from Logan International Airport to the center of Boston is to use the water taxis and shuttles that ply the route between the airport and the city. The ride takes in views of Boston Harbor and serves as an interesting introduction to the city.
Not many cities worldwide can claim to have an international airport that offers an aquatic mode of transport to the city it serves. Prices range from $10 to $20 per person for the short ride.
If Boston is more of a brief stopover than anything else, visitors can stay at one of the two luxurious hotels close to Logan International Airport. The Hyatt Harborside is located on the actual grounds of Logan International, so you will not need to travel too far. There is a complimentary shuttle bus that takes you to and from the airport and the hotel. The Hilton Boston Logan Hotel is the other option for travelers seeking to remain in close proximity to the airport.
Similar to the Hyatt Harborside, it has all the luxury amenities but is connected to the airport via a skybridge.
The other airport which services Bostonians and visitors is the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. Located approximately 50 miles north of the center of Boston, the airport is served by many of the major US domestic airlines.
