Detroit’s Award-Winning Airport
Located in the southwest area of Detroit, Michigan, Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) services airlines from all over the world through two terminals: McNamara Terminal and North Terminal. Both terminals offer a wide array of dining and shopping outlets among other services, including ATM machines, foreign currency exchange desks, shoeshine stops, vending machines, and public telephones all found throughout the airport.
A children’s play area and onsite hotel are located within the McNamara Terminal. Wireless Internet access is also available throughout the airport for users who subscribe to AT&T Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, Go Remote, iBAHN, Concourse, iPass, WeRoam and Orange France.
For users without these carriers, 24-hour or monthly subscriptions are available for purchase from the airport’s on-site service, while outlets for plugging into telephone ports are also available among public telephones and in the McNamara Terminal’s Online Café.
Ground transportation options to and from the airport are available at the Ground Transportation offices of both terminals and include taxis, rental car services, and public transportation by SMART bus. You’ll find SMART bus stops outside of the North Terminal near the Ground Transportation offices. Two parking garages are also available and offer free shuttle services to and from the terminals.
The Big Blue Deck garage offers long-term parking access to the North Terminal, while the McNamara Terminal Parking Structure offers long-term and short-term parking, as well as a pedestrian bridge to the McNamara Terminal. You’ll also find a separate lot for short-term parking by the North Terminal. Two cell phone lots are also available for drivers waiting to pick up arriving family and friends.
