Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) is the largest and busiest airport in the upper Midwestern region, located just outside of downtown Minneapolis. MSP serves numerous nonstop domestic and international markets.

The airport is the hub for Sun Country Airlines as well as Delta/Northwest Airlines, the latter accounting for the bulk of airport traffic. A joint civil-military airport, MSP is home to the Minneapolis-Saint Paul Joint Air Reserve Station, which supports both Air Force Reserve Command and Air National Guard flight operations.

Of the seven concourses in main Lindbergh Terminal, Concourse E is the only concourse serving airlines other than Delta/Northwest. Humphrey Terminal once served all the international flight arrivals, but is now used for charter airlines and other carriers. Taxi, shuttle, and car rental companies all operate at MSP offering travelers transportation to and from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. Public transport is also available through Metro Transit, which provides both Light Rail Transit and public bus services within the Minneapolis metropolitan area.

The Hiawatha Line light-rail has stops at both the Hub Building (Lindbergh Station) and Humphrey Terminal (Humphrey Station). The light rail runs from the Warehouse District downtown to the Airport, ending at the Mall of America.
