Flights to Phoenix: Sky Harbor International Airport
Getting to Phoenix is easy with Sky Harbor International Airport or PHX. This modern facility has three terminals and is located near the center of the city. Considered one of the top 10 busiest airports in the U.S., this Arizona facility serves more than 20 carriers, including two budget airlines.
Sky Harbor has been undergoing a multimillion-dollar facelift that features an automated train system. Travelers can also use the shuttle buses and economy car parks.
There is a designated exit for flights in each direction.
These are I-10 for eastbound, SR153 for southern traffic, SR202 serving westward and SR143 for northbound.
Sky Harbor is considered by many to be America’s friendliest airport. The facility provides free wireless Internet access, a park for traveling animals and a push-button audiovisual paging system that enables travelers to ask for assistance.
Disabled travelers would find comfort in the lifts, telephones, toilets and ATMs designed for their use. Adult changing stations in private restrooms are also offered.
Sky Harbor also displays more than 500 works of artwork inside the Phoenix Aviation Archive.
The airport has parking spaces that can accommodate 30,000 vehicles. Short-term parking is allowed in Terminals 2, 3 and 4. Economy car parks provide additional spaces.
The airport is within comfortable driving distance to accommodations and attractions. Hotels can be reached in 15 to 30 minutes by car. Downtown Phoenix is only 3 miles away.
Sky Harbor provides a center for car rental.
